  Condemnation of Politicization of Legal Dispute and Unjust Drag of Rt. Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas’ Name into Unrelated Matter  The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), the apex and most respected students' body in Nigeria, has observed with deep concern the ongoing controversy surrounding the arrest and prosecution of some individuals over alleged defamatory social media posts related to business and land transactions. While we recognize the right of aggrieved parties to seek legal redress, we are deeply worried about the deliberate politicization of this matter and the unwarranted dragging of the name of the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas, into a purely civil dispute.   Our Position: NANS has always been at the forefront of defending the rights and interests of Nigerian citizens, particularly the youth.
