Gaidam anoints Buni as successor

Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State has endorsed the nomination of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai-mala Buni as the party’s gubernatorial flag bearer in the state.
He made this known at a meeting with key party officials in Damaturu yesterday.
At a meeting on Thursday, the party’s stakeholders said they were mandated to give discretion to the governor to nominate his successor for continuity, considering his foresight and the development stride he has brought to the state.
The state secretary of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Bakabe, confirmed that the governor had officially submitted the name of Buni as the anointed candidate to fly the party’s flag in 2019.
Daily Trust Saturday gathered that the governor also endorsed the Senate Leader, Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, for senate ticket and his spokesman, Malam Abdullahi Bego, for the House of Reps seat (Bade/Jakusko Federal Constituency).

The Arewa Youth for Liberty (AYFL) strongly condemns the recent actions of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) against the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Company. We view this as an act of sabotage and outright hostility toward the Nigerian people, who stand to benefit greatly from the refinery’s efforts to reduce fuel prices and provide massive employment opportunities. Dangote Refinery has invested heavily in the growth and development of Nigeria’s oil sector, including spending over ₦3 trillion to acquire trucks that will ensure nationwide distribution of petroleum products at reduced costs.
