Ganduje: CAS NOW College of Education, Kano

His Excellency Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR has signed the Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies Bill into law, which has now effectively elavated the Kano College of Arts and Remedial Studies CAS to a full College of Education which will be awarding professional education certificates in addition to the services it is currently rendering.

The bill was signed by the Governor at the Council Chambers in the presence of the supervising Commissioner of Education who also doubles as the Commons for Works, Transport and Housing, the PPS to the Governor and other top government officials from the ministry of Education among others.

The Arewa Youth for Liberty (AYFL) strongly condemns the recent actions of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) against the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Company. We view this as an act of sabotage and outright hostility toward the Nigerian people, who stand to benefit greatly from the refinery’s efforts to reduce fuel prices and provide massive employment opportunities. Dangote Refinery has invested heavily in the growth and development of Nigeria’s oil sector, including spending over ₦3 trillion to acquire trucks that will ensure nationwide distribution of petroleum products at reduced costs. Rather than commend and collaborate with Dangote Refinery in its efforts to ease the hardship caused by rising fuel prices, DAPPMAN and its allies, including NUPENG, appear determined to frustrate these positive strides.
