Dr. Maryam Jummai YASIN to receive safety Award in the US

Dr. Maryam Jummai Yasin, wife of the immediate past President of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alh. Usman Najeemdeen Yasin, will on Monday, October 7, 2019, be presented an award by the World Safety Organisation (WSO) in the United States of America.
According to a letter dated July 31 and signed by the Chief Executive Officer of WSO, Lon S. McDaniel, Dr. Yasin was picked for the 2019 Educational Award after due selection.
She will be decorated alongside other recipients as part of  WSO’s 32nd Annual International Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Professional Development Symposium at Tuscany Suites & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Reacting, Dr. Yasin appreciated the non-profit and non-political organization for the honor done by her and the Yasin family.
She said, “It is interesting to note that a reputable organization like the World Safety Organization is taking note of my activities from the United States.
“While l was offering support to the less privileged in the area of empowerment, scholarship and other aspects, l was not expecting reward from anyone except Allah.l must however say, l am highly appreciative of this award which will spur me to do even more for my people.”
