 National Union of Yobe State Students And Sir Ahmadu Bello Youth Council Honours Eng. Yusuf Usman. (Matawallen Fika)


National Union of Yobe State Students in collaboration with the Sir Ahmadu Bello Youth Council honoured the Chief operating officer Gas and Power of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC.) Eng. Yusuf Usman. Matawallen-Fika.


The event took place on Wednesday 24th March 2021 at NNPC Towers Abuja.


North West Coordinator of the Council, Amb. Idris Isah Abubakar described the celebrant as an honest and dedicated person with sincerity of purpose and that whom the council is proud of. He also further explained the reason of the honor which was born out of their desire to appreciate people who have tremendously contributes to the development of Northern Nigeria and Nigeria at large.


The National Act. President of NUYOSS Comr. Yakubu Muhammad, said the honour done to Eng. Yusuf Usman was because of his giant strides of ensuring a better and prosperous Yobe State and his efforts in engaging the youth in entrepreneurial ventures, against chasing the shadows of white collar jobs.


In his response, Eng. Yusuf Usman expressed happiness over the honour and reiterated his commitment to partner with the Union and the Council to make life better of the Northern Nigerian youth. 

“I love youth with focus, I like to see them occupying the position of influence in order to make a great Nation. The youth are the bedrock to every Development. We are doing all that we can here in the Gas and Power, and I would love to share the progress with you in the upcoming Entrepreneurship and skills acquisition “.

The Arewa Youth for Liberty (AYFL) strongly condemns the recent actions of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) against the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Company. We view this as an act of sabotage and outright hostility toward the Nigerian people, who stand to benefit greatly from the refinery’s efforts to reduce fuel prices and provide massive employment opportunities. Dangote Refinery has invested heavily in the growth and development of Nigeria’s oil sector, including spending over ₦3 trillion to acquire trucks that will ensure nationwide distribution of petroleum products at reduced costs.
