Crowing competent above sentiment and pettiness

The recent decision of Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-rufai to withdraw from the Ministerial nomination he was graciously offered by Mr. President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR brought surprised to the minds of many in the country and Kaduna State at large.


The good people of Kaduna State identify with the President for his efforts until the last minute withdrawal of one of it's best brains from the race. The gesture attracted even more commendation as the President gifted the Former Governor to nominate his replacement by himself. This shows the level of love and trust shared by the duo.


Even as the justling for the opportunity became rife around the former Governor, he was still very calm in his usual personality to spot one of the most humble and intelligent member of his cabinet as a Governor, Alhaji Jaafar Ibrahim Sani.


Alhaji Jaafar Ibrahim Sani is a technocrat who is well read, well travelled, well prepared with experience, skills and expertise. He was a former commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Kaduna State, a one time Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs  and Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources. He has served in various capacity both as political office holder, administrator and as a technocrat.


As a trained Business Adminstrator who have succeeded in many capacity he has been appointed, he has the service competence, achievements orientation and transparency of purpose that will allow him to succeed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


We at the Arewa Youths and Students Initiative is expressively grateful to the President for finding one of our own worthy and we look forward to a hitch free screening of the nominee who we have no doubt in his ability to contribute immensely to the developmental strides of this present administrations.

AREWA YOUTH FOR LIBERTY (AYFL) Condemns DAPPMAN’s Actions, Declares Full Support for Dangote Refinery

The Arewa Youth for Liberty (AYFL) strongly condemns the recent actions of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) against the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Company. We view this as an act of sabotage and outright hostility toward the Nigerian people, who stand to benefit greatly from the refinery’s efforts to reduce fuel prices and provide massive employment opportunities. Dangote Refinery has invested heavily in the growth and development of Nigeria’s oil sector, including spending over ₦3 trillion to acquire trucks that will ensure nationwide distribution of petroleum products at reduced costs. Rather than commend and collaborate with Dangote Refinery in its efforts to ease the hardship caused by rising fuel prices, DAPPMAN and its allies, including NUPENG, appear determined to frustrate these positive strides.
