Change and leadership in Nigeria part II

Change and leadership in Nigeria
                      Part Two
first ideology is of those that think there is a positive change, making reference with   Implementation of Treasury Single Account TSA, Diversification of Economy and containing some insecurity challenges especially Bokoharam.

The opposite view is of those that think there is no change at all; saying that in the face of fight against corruption, there is no prosecution of corrupt officials rather persecution, insecurity   escalated to every part of the country, If boko haram is "technically defeated" in the northeast what about the kidnappings and herdsmen in the north central and west?.

The last group that sit on the fence think there are areas where this administration deserves commendation, and areas that deserves condemnation.

In all honesty, change is a process that takes time; I am of the opinion that the current administration has laid a solid foundation for change, but human race is known with drive for perfection, as such the success we recorded is not enough to cope with fluctuating   tendencies of our  dynamic world as such there's always room for improvements.

On a more sincere note, the change we need deserves to go deep into the fabric of our society by; reshaping and remodeling the thinking of our youths, which are proved to be the ultimate change agents. We must device a means of exploiting the energy and drive of our youths toward Nation's building; this will be achieved by improving and rebranding our educational system.

As the old saying goes; "to destroy a community you do three things “distort family structure, destroy education and lower role models” Our educational sector should be competing with the best sectors intentionally. This is a feasible by:-

1 focusing mostly on primary and secondary sectors, as we need a very solid foundation through initiating policies that will Attract the best brains to the sector and making the sector more luxurious.

> currently we have NYSC acts which mandates young graduates to undergo a one year service to the Nation before being qualified for employment, we should also set a policy that will require our vibrant graduates work for at least one year in our primary and secondary schools before they are  considered qualified for any serious Job. This will ensure availability of sizzling graduates in the sector, I dream of Nigeria where first class graduates willingly apply for Jobs in our Primary and secondary education Boards as their first choice, #This #is #change!

2 Including strategic courses in primary and secondary school curriculum that will train the minds of our younger one the love of the nation and the evil of corruption right from tender age.

3 Engaging our existing primary and secondary teachers in a rigorous trainings which at the end will give us right to retain the only ones that will pass a subsequent examinations that will follow, the rest that are considered unwanted in the academia should be transferred to various ministries and departments, especially environmental sanitation agencies ( although this will be an article on its own). ©Mubarak Jidda
