NFF Election: It's Shehu Dikko Time ( _Shehu 'Lokan'

The most glamorous and decisive period in the Nigeria Football Federation is around the corner. It's time to determine the next phase in the transformation of our dear football industry which has been the most consistent instrument in the unity and togetherness of our dear country.

Many aspirants have shown the desire to lead. They are sets of veterans who have requisite credentials to take the mantle of leadership of the highly rated football industry in Africa and very reputable in the eyes of the world. Each candidates come with their promises, hopes and aspirations but none has proven to have the necessary track records to make difference like Shehu Dikko.

Shehu Dikko is an illustrious son of Kaduna state and a well celebrated indigen of ancient city of Zaria. He has acquired both Western and Islamic education which has mould him into a formidable force and reaffirms his personality and class.

 Why Shehu Dikko?

Even as many have laid claim to their capacity and qualifications to take the highly coveted sit of NFF President, Shehu Dikko has propelled himself by properly positioning himself on the class of history and capability because of his unbeatable track record of achievements on Monday difficult assignments.

Shehu Dikko was a former manager of the popular FIFA Goal Project (Nigeria) where he organized saveral football tours between Manchester United, Portsmouth and Kano Pillars in the year 2008. The efforts, coordination and power invested into that project was massive and commendable which earned him accolades, reccomendations and encomium from the world football governing body at that time. This singular act inked his name in gold ink.

 Adorable Shehu will go on after the success recorded at the FIFA Goal Project to be appointed as a consultant to the House of Representatives Sports committee where he served saveral years until 2011. During his surgeon at the House of Representatives as a consultant, he was instrumental to the drafting of the National Sports Commission bill which has become a legal document guiding the sporting activities in this country. Source privy to the committee at that time confessed that the worth ethics put in by Dikko is tremendous, he spent great time Makin research, traveling and making consultation to ensure that the document have the inputs of world best practices.

Shehi Dikko delievered many heartwarming services and breathtaking performance in his duty posts at the NFF, a record which earned him the appointment as the Chairman of the League Management Company some 2014 and was reappointed in 2019. Shehu's time as the Chairman of the LMC have been full of unbeatable achievements. He has successfully organized league matches every season. His tenure placed the Nigeria Professional  Football at par with it's counterparts when matches were broadcasted live on televisions and internet for all to watch. His tenure protected players from slavery contract and he always proposed the best possible means to handle players contract to ensure that the get maximum benefits of their professional contract. He created initiatives who h has projected the images of our NPFL players to the world and for the first time in history, the league experience massive international transfer because of the quality of the league and it's players.

Dikko is a man of less word but many actions. He is an achiever personified who has used his wide range of connection to secure sponsorship for the league every season. He is dependable, reliable and trustworthy and he has been serially recommended by the current NFF President because of his scintillating performances on every duty given to him. He is well read, widely traveled as very exposed which is a core requirement to run football Administration in this century.

Shehu Dikko is the current second Vice President of the NFF.
